The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.
